PRECIOUS METALS: Precious metals prices higher on yesterday, as the market awaited signals of future monetary tightening by the U.S. Federal Reserve and a Senate panel’s questioning of Attorney General Jeff Sessions about his dealings with Russian officials.
ENERGY: Crude oil prices are lower after a choppy trade yesterday. The OPEC monthly report wasn’t encouraging as it acknowledged that the market rebalancing is happening at a slower pace. OPEC’s May output was higher by 336,000 bpd in May to 32.14 million due to rise in Libyan and Nigerian output.
BASE METALS: Copper prices lower on yesterday, markets are cautious ahead of the U.S. Fed’s interest rate decision due later today, while zinc and nickel were pressured after China’s rebar futures fell more than 3% on Tuesday in their sharpest single-day drop since early May.
